Also as required by RFC 5321 the non-delivery notification has a null sender address. After a delivery failure the MTA MUST NOT send another non-delivery notification. You can configure Postfix to send you some information about undeliverbale mail: main.cf: notify_classes = resource, software, bounce bounce_notice_recipient = you@localhost This is not a backup mechanism, you only receive the message header.
