I just had someone here who has MapInfo 8.5 check. I see it has both WMS and WFS. He said he'd give it a try later on today or Monday. I am curious to see how it handles WFS services. the WMS from what I recall was pretty decent, but you can't really get data aside form getinfo from WMS calls.

Oh yes I forgot the WMS WFS route. In older versions of MapInfo I think like MapInfo 7 - I was able to use a WMS UMN mapserver connection. In later versions of Map Info I think they introduced WFS, but I have yet to try that out. -Original Message- From: postgis-users-boun...@postgis

If you want to see spatial data from PostGIS in MapInfo 'directly' from PostGIS, the only way to do this is to use FME. As stated earlier, it is read only though. If you just want to use attribute data then you can access that using a DBMS connection, but I am guessing you want the spatial data.
