Does the battery on the inter connect board of a PB 180 (the little board that connects the top half (LCD, keyboard, trackball) to the logic board) also give the clock its power? My PB 180 currently won't remember what time/day it is, even immediately after I set it in the Date/Time control panel.

screen losing contrast

I notice that the screen on my PB 190 loses contrast (even with contrast turned up all the way) the longer the PB 190 is turned on. The fix is to turn it off all the way--sleep doesn't help as much. I've heard such things could happen from heat, but it doesn't feel hot. Any advice? Do other PB
