Not patient enough to wait to get a PRAM battery which I also need, I went
ahead and checked the 64MB RAM module per the list.
Very loose and sitting slightly cockeyed. Not even close to being seated.
I suppose the keyboard must have been keeping it barely in.

The 5300 REA officially ended 6/28/02. I know, the power board in mine is
fried and I couldn't get it fixed :(
These days it seems easiest to get them from either Hotline or Carracho.
Have a look around, some one has been trying to stop you from getting
them... Also, many 5300's are still
There is an isp in my area that has wireless internet available. If their
technology is the industry standard, could I just purchase an airport card
or some other brand that utilizes the same wireless technology and be able
to surf the net through their service. Would I have to sign up for their

I ended up getting the PDF off Eric Burns (thanks Eric).
I haven't received the PowerBook yet (ebay). I think dependant on the serial
number, Apple are able to tell when it was manufactured and this will be the
date from which after the 7 years will apply? I just hope
