A scsi cd rom will work fine. But are you sure you want to install 9?

Hi everybody,
A friend was given an ibook (g3/266) to use at work. It has
OS 8.1 on it. Any problem with me updating it to 8.6?
That's the highest I have. Anything special I should check before
or do to install it?
Thanks in advance,
Mary
