They continued to repair 190 and 5300 cases longer than anyone else would have. Let's not talk about 5300s. The battery problem wasn't their fault (it was Sony's), you are right. And there were only a few (fewer than 5?) that had faults... But other than that, the 5300 is a terrible example.

Yes, this is a problem, but the failure is actually due to the Rage Pro chip blowing on the laptop, NOT an Apple issue. I'm sure the reason Apple hasn't been able to resolve it is that the fine folks at ATI have been very slow in dealing with it. They continued production of the exact chip with
