Have you designated atleast 1 DNS address for netscape? I had the same
problem on my PB280c w/ FreePPP ( Running 7.6.1 and NS 4.6).

Questions re Global Village pcmcia modem and OS 9.1
I cannot get the Remote Access control panel to accept the settings
for the Global Village pcmcia modem. It continually sys the modem is
using the default settings, even though in configurations there is
another setting to select.
Secondly,
Connectix's DigitalRadar, records snaps or motion when something changes
in camera's FOV. Simple but effective.
