Hi All, I hope someone can help me, I recently acquired a Powerbook 5300cs that I got from a friend who owed me some money for work I did for him. This unit is brand new 'Refurbished' and actually is in the refurbished box that came from Apple. He bought a whole lot of these (like 10 at a time)

Could be that the installation disk is set to only work with a specific Mac model and it won't work with your machine. I've had the problem before and had to get a "universal" install disk. Later.Howard Computer n.
