Does a PC card for PB 190 and 5300 work on 1400?

Hi, I'm eyeing an Ethernet PC card from Asante. The descriptions says it is PCMCIA 2.1 type II and fits the Powerbooks 190 and 5300. I've heard some stories about 16-bit and 32-bit, and found out that the 1400 needs 16-bit cards. Would anyone know if the offered card will work on my 1400 too? T

PRAM battery for 5300ce?

I recently bought a used 5300ce; the date/time is not retained between startups so I suspect that the PRAM battery is dead. A local Mac shop could not replace it citing that "the 5300ce is beyond the age where we're going to be able to order parts. It doesn't even come up on the list of machine
