I turned the machine on this morn - had to reset the time again. What else
could be wrong??

what OS on your machine? IIRC 9.1 includes the zip driver but earlier doesn't.
I'm mailing you a copy.

I've just received another 3400c as a backup for my original one. It
came with a VST zip drive, the one which slips into the
cd/floppy/etc slot.
Neither computer will boot with the drive

Do you have the battery in at the right polarities? (+ - are marked --
faintly, to be sure -- on the bottom of
