PB 100 screen

2005-07-17 Thread Beniamino Cenci Goga
Suddenly the screen of this PB 100 stopped working. The PB 100 completes the boot either from the HD or the floppy, but on the LCD there is nothing, just the backlight ring works, while the contrast does not change anything. Ideas? Ben -- PowerBooks is sponsored by http://lowendmac.com/

I have swapped displays as well and thought this problem stayed with the mainboard. the mainboard of the PB or one of the two boards locate into the screen case (I guess the invertor board and the small one with the brightness and contrast)? I have a spare PB 100 Logic board, want to try

PCMCIA module for PB 5xx

2005-07-17 Thread Vic Mabus
Hi - Has anyone had experience with these modules? I acquired a couple, but after installing the extension and control panel, I reboot with the module in the left battery bay. Boot hangs before loading any estensions. Same result with several different PB 5xx models, with both modules.

Mozilla runs on any OS 8.6 or above machine. You just need to find the version that does. I believe it is either 1.2 or 1.3. -- PowerBooks is sponsored by http://lowendmac.com/ and... Small Dog Electronicshttp://www.smalldog.com | Enter To Win A | -- Canon PowerShot Digital Cameras

Sorry, I forgot to mention the version of Mozilla I was referring to. I don't think the older versions of Mozilla will work with Gmail, but I'm not 100% sure on that. I'm pretty sure only the latest Wamcom build of Mozilla is needed for accessing Gmail's site. That's what I figured. I didn't
