Some friends of mine plan on travelling around the US in a motor home
in the not too distant future (they're in the process of selling their
house). They've asked me how they can get online while travelling.
Particularly, they want to know about
thinking of this setup, now's a
good time. FIDO's GPRS service is also the only one that provides seamless
roaming between Canada and the US.
If any of you are planning on using this setup, get in touch with me and
I'll send you the modem script and a PDF of the install manual.

I use it while traveling as a passenger on the
road or even on our boat. It has come in handy in other circumstances as
well.
My reason for wireless connectivity is to spend more time on our boat.
Are any of you Pbook boaters using nautical
.

However, it seemed to me that surely someone has
come up with a way to attach a CDMA data-capable
phone to a Powerbook.

Reposting my request from before the weekend.
Does anyone have any experience running the Novatel Merlin G100 GPRS
wireless internet access card? I'm trying to connect via FIDO.
Any suggestions for other places I might go for help?
Thanks,
