Hi all,
I recently acquired a PowerBook 1400/166C that has a Vimage Vpower 233MHz G3 processor
upgrade. However, the unit did not come with an AC adaptor.
Also, I was wondering if anybody knew where I could find some info on the processor
upgrade?
Like Peter said, you need to get the Ethertech Installer software at OWC

Hi all just dropping a line to get some tips i have virtual pc 2.1.2 with windows 98
and am trying to get it to run on my book but everytime i launch it vpc crashes
You need VPC 4 for using Win98, I believe.
I use VPC 3.x with Win95/OSR2 on my 1400/G3
Should also mention that the 1400 is running 9.0.4 with a lot of the extensions and
other misc. stuff stripped out of the System folder.
You may be able to sell off your RAM and get the full 64 MB instead.

I have a PB 1400 with G3/233 and the full 64
I recently purchased a used 1400c running 8.1 not knowing it had an upgraded processor
(Vimage g3/233). I wiped the drive and installed 9.1. I checked Apple System Profiler
and noticed the odd processor rating g3 - 33 No 2 in front of the 33. I opened the
computer up and there was the Vimage.
Hi
Tried the link to xlr8 but the software is unavailable. Rats!
I also tried the asia.cnet link but that goes back to the non-existent Vimage website.
The everymac link is just the description of the card (which is the correct one).
Thanks for your efforts. The search continues!
