Hi,

I learned a lot about macintosh in this short period.
I prepared a boot disk image (from NT) with formating
tools, which worked perfectly, but my drive is not
available for formating.
reason:
Norton disklock is hiding the disk from formating
utilities (security reasons).
They are giving the following solution:
[ 1) Boot the machine from another device while
holding down the cmd-opt-shift-delete. You may need to
zap the PRAM prior to doing this (whats this?) to get
it to work properly. If the DiskLock login appears, it
won't work.
  2) Disconnect power from the device, but leave the
data cabble connected. After the machine finishes
booting, reconnet the power cable to the drive.Launch
your disk formating utility and see if the device is
visible.
 - I think 1 and 2 is for desktop machines
  3) For Powerbooks you may have to remove the device
from the powerbook and put it in a desktop machine or
an external case (I don't have this). After setting
this up, try booting with cmd-opt-shift-delete held
down again.]
The above for me is impossible.

Alternative - linux/unix.
The sites that I checked out (for mk68 and debian)
only allows for installations from an already
installed mac. I am looking for linux (any flavour)
boot disk images that will boot directly from the
disks without having to access the mac operating
system. WHERE CAN I GET THIS? HELP!
