I have an external freecom dvd that i use on the pc. and have taken apart to
see but have not fitted the inner workings look the same as the 1400 cdrom i
have.
And to answer a question from ages ago i tried the Acer pcmcia cage in my
1400 it fitts but would not recognise any cards so it does
