The 9.1 Startup Control Panel has always done this for the 1400. It was never fixed, but addressed many times. I believe a lot of people have swiped the 9.2 Control Panel to use (or maybe an older known working Control Panelcan't remember). As for iTunes. Check out:

I've had a problem with my PB1400 lately that I don't understand. The Startup Disk control panel keeps crashing when I try and set a new startup disk. I have tried reinstalling the cp and trashing the prefs. I also zapped the PRAM but it still crashes. Should I try a different version of the
