I dont know about a fix, but I had a pb140 and a 5300 have the same
problem, luckily at the time they were both fixed under warranty. The
flat ribbon cable gets a lot of flexing at that point and it cracks
'invisibly'

Hi,
I have a 5300cs and the display is splitting on the lower right
side. After taking it apart, I believe the problem is in the hinge.
Has anyone had a similar problem and is there a fix?
