Ok, this is something I've never really gotten a handle on... (Before you start, yes, I know I could just get a PC card modem for cheap!)
Can the 5300 use external 56K modems reliably? The port is not GeoPort, correct? At what speeds will it operate? If it isn't GeoPort, can it still be DMA? Can it handle full speed ISDN? I assume it can reliably handle the ~230Kbps standard LocalTalk speed... Can it be externally clocked up to something faster like other Mac serial ports? I suppose I should go look at the hardware dev notes, but if you guys have any good info for me, I'd love to hear it!
