Hi Brian, 'Fail to boot' means that the cursor appears, but the screen remains blank, and the internal HDD is not making the usual spinning noises. The flashing disk may or may not appear - I realize that is a good sign as it usually leads to recognition of a system folder wherever it may be (inc
