Can't find "open with" in finder info window

I am wanting to change my graphics editor from Preview to Graphics 
Converter. As instructed in the OS X 10.2.6 Help section, I have gone 
to Get Info in order to find the open with feature in that window in 
order to change what opens that type of document. I can't find it. 
Any help with this or simply how to switch from Preview to something 
else? I have thought of putting it in the trash and getting rid of in 
hopes that another application will be defaulted as the opening 
application. Thank you.
