As someone else said, there's RamDoubler 9.
Can't get to turn off VM though. I tried starting with extensions off, and
tried replacing the memory prefs with a copy
I use Ram Doubler 9.01 with 9.1 and it works well...the only thing I
noticed, is that if I use techtool pro to optimize, or start up from another
disk, I sometimes have to re install Ram Doubler...it somehow is not
recognized after that, but if I reinstall all is well again.

I use Ram Doubler 9 with no problems on OS 9.1. It allows triple the installed
RAM, (192 Meg vs the 1400's max of 64 Meg) but runs slow even with a G3/217
upgraded 1400. (Much faster on my partner's G3/333 upgraded 1400) I might note
