loaded, maybe something else is hogging the port (Appletalk might be or

You don't really NEED drivers for modems. Just use the standard AT
commands to set it up. Do you have a modem control panel, and have your
modem selected? Although for most modems it's just basic

dhcp can anyone help?
A standard dialup BBS is entirely separate from the Internet. Ones you dial
up to with a terminal emulation program don't even use TCP/IP at all. I
remember back in the good ol' days of the 80's, connecting to BBSes with my
