Bill, Actually, this is easier than I remember for OS 9. Find your program Disk Copy. Open it. Insert your disk. It should ask you what you want to do with it. Make sure mount image is selected and click okay. It should image the disk and then you just change the name to make sure it says exactll

Hello Dave, Look in the Utilities folder that is in the Applications folder of the root HD (or boot HD). There you'll find a utility called "Disk Copy". Its use is pretty much the same as before, only the file type of the image will be a ".dmg" instead of the former .smi If you choose "read only"

Howdy all! I have a game that I think will run quicker if I copy the CD to the desktop. I know in OS 9 you could do that. How do I do it in OS X? I just got my Powerbook and have not learned enough yet about the OS to know. Thoughts? Dave -- PowerBooks is sponsored by
