For Maria,

Yes, there are preferences for Open Transport and OT/PPP.  First, make
sure you have all the necessary information written down for filling out
the TCP/IP and PPP information, as deleting the preferences will delete
this information (DNS entries, phone number, modem scripts, etc.).

I don't use OT/PPP on my 5300cs, but for Open Transport the two pref
files you need to delete are:

TCP/IP Preferences (Preferences folder)
MacTCP DNR (System folder)

The OT/PPP prefs sould have PPP in the name.
