depends on the cell type as memory serves some nimh cells are actually rated around 1.6 volts at full chaege. katey I took apart one intelligent 500 series battery and discovered that there are 8 cells inside: 1.2 volts x 8 = 9.6: how come that both EMMpathy and the tester say 12 volts? As
