two variations of color screens. The 5300 had several color and also the
greyscale screen. (I didn't look at a lot of the other models to see if
any of them were made/discontinued after the 5300, or what screen type

Those were the discontinued dates of the greyscale versions.
I hadn't realised that the 190 continued for so long into the 5300 span.
