Here is the instructions for charging the portable stylewriter battery.
To Charge the Battery:
a) Make sure the printer is plugged in and turned off, and the battery switch (the
slider on the back of the printer near the left rear corner) is on (in the ÒIÓ
position).
b) Hold down
I just scored a portable stylewriter at the Goodwill for $2.00. Then I found
the power and parallel cables in the doller bin. I get the thing home and
download the driver from apple and, it works. It even has a good ink tank.

I am going to have to be a little ignorant here. It only says portable
stylewriter, I believe the apple version of the canon. The family number
is M1446. It has a centronic parallel port and the cable is supposed to
convert to a serial connection.

The Portable StyleWriter is actually a PC printer (Canon, if I remember
correctly). Apple packaged it in a case with their logo on it. It came with
the connector cable to make it work, which was really a PowerPrint cable, as
well as the one driver (from PowerPrint) to make it work. PowerPrint

that Apple had done something weird.
This StyleWriter (yes, it is an Apple, and not a Cannon with a few Apple
plastics - I know Cannon made these, though), has a parallel interface.
