If there is a slight bulge in the heat sink, then it isn't properly
installed.
The lump is probabl a bad description. It is actually a raised integral
section of the heat sink aat the rear in the middle.It MUST be factory
constructed as its integral with the plate itself even to having cut

I have never seen a heat sink that came 'up' when placed on the machine,
they all lie flat once fitted AFAIK. Apple only list one part number.
