Hi there!
I have a Powerbook 140 that boots up (because I can
hear the disk drive going) and it sounds like it is
going through the whole boot process, but nothing
comes up on the screen. I think the screen croaked.
What would it take to replace the screen, or would it
be better just to replace
Does any OS have to be formatted on a Mac, or is
there a way to make a disk on a PC that can be
read on a powerbook 140? Also, Will any distro's
of Linux run on a 140? p Thanks, Lee

greytone box

in advance. :)

Booting from a floppy... if I don't have the floppy (which I
don't), that'll be difficult. And I doubt my campus helpdesk will have
something that old. Is there anywhere reliable that I could obtain the
floppy? I bought the computer itself for $15 from the Salvation Army where
