Hi all,
contrary to what I have stated several days ago, the problems with my
PB 5300c have remained.
The symptoms are:
- random freezes during startup or later
- when pushing the start button (with and without the power cord
plugged in), a klicking sound can be heard, but nothing happens.

TechTools is cute and perhaps has some application but I've never had it
catch or demonstrate anything useful on CPUs with hardware faults. Well OK

frequently and randomly freezing, even with all extensions off. When
shutdown, the computer does only reluctantly start with the help of a
forced restart. When put to sleep by shutting the display, it
crashes, too.
