I decided to clean up the 5300 and reinstall 8.6
Re-followed Asante's caveats and recommendations
regarding the very problem Clark mentioned. They list
several extensions that are incompatible.
Voila. Everything works good now.
Now, I'm off to my 3400 to work on

Did I ever respond to this?
If not, I never did get the Skyline card to work.
I gave up and sold it to Drew Kershaw on the list.
He was/is going to test it on his 5300s.
