I recently inquired of the List about an "Energy Saver" problem I was
having with my 5300. The machine didn't like going to sleep *and* at
the same time maintain a static DSL connection.

Remy gave me some advise about possible Speed Doubler
incompatibilities, but ultimately I serendipitously stumbled onto St.
Claires *Sleeper* shareware.

I found this comment of St.Claire's interesting:

*It also works in many circumstances where Energy Saver fails for
mysterious reasons,*

I took this to mean that the Energy Saver is not very elegant code. My
experience with Sleeper, so far, has been satisfying on both my 5300
and 3400 [All the appropriate disclaimers apply.}

Cliff
