*Job Title :Software Support Engineer * *Location: Melbourne, FL* *Duration : 6+ Months Contract* Essential Functions/Responsibilities: Provide Movement Planner application support working closely with the customer support team, to diagnose and resolve customer reported software/ configuration issues and anomalies, Partnership with product development, and test teams for Hotfix, Maintenance Releases and bugs/feature requests Install and configure the product suite and create test cases to isolate configuration issues and product defects Improve our product knowledge base, build knowledge centric support Must have software development experience. 5+ years of experience in software industry with at least 3 years in software technical support experience preferred. *Strong knowledge of C++ programming language and of databases/ SQL.* Expected Skillset: Hands on programming *experience and knowledge of C++, Linux* Ability to work on multiple problems simultaneously Strong problem solving and analytical skills demonstrated by the ability to assimilate new information, understand complex topics Strong familiarity with Linux OS and performance optimizations. Knowledge of Linux internals and administration is highly desired Robust understanding of database technologies and performance optimization Excellent written and verbal communication Experience with Scrum/ Agile development, Self-starter who is motivated to learn and is at ease working as part of a team of highly talented professionals Must be able to work closely with cross functional teams (Development, Product Management, QA and other key stakeholders) Experience with software version management (Clearcase, SVN, or Git), Client Notes Tier 3 Software development - fix the software, debugging in the production system. Must Have's: C++, Linux, experience in debugging and triage - support role, analytical thinking and provide solutions to the problems, good communication skills - explain to other support organizations, mobile planner - want individuals to have worked on algorithm based systems. junior to Mid-level resource.
