Extended charactersets lost in import process

I remember that importing messages with extended charactersets from Outlook 4.5 (Classic) into PM 3.0.9 (running natively in OS X 10.0.2), that in it's run had successfully imported from Emailer 2.0v3 with proper character formatting, yielded erroneous characters, which of course is unacceptable.
