The way I keep my mail up on more than one computer is... Set the delete messages from server date far enough out that I collect copies on all my computers by checking for new mail before they are deleted. If I want to keep a copy of a sent email, I cc a copy to my address when sending. This

This is a very real issue for me too. My solution is to keep the PM database on my Powerbook, and mount the Powerbook drive on my desktop computer. I have gigabit ethernet, and PM is nearly as fast on my desktop as it is on my powerbook (ie, speed is appears to be limited by the PB disk drive).

I opened my Powermail today and discovered that a large portion of the email in one of my folders has disappeared. The folder currently shows no messages after 7/31/03. It's my school mail folder and this is basically an entire semester worth of email gone (200+ messages). I have used Powermail
