Yes, having unread mail remain in the recent mail window would be a very nice feature.
As a yearly PLEASE PLEASE PRETTY PLEASE WITH SUGAR ON TOP feature request I state my PM main wish of having the RMW integrated into the general browser window - i.e. lie the Spam folder, but just below the Out Tray - create a nice small icon and relieve me from having 2 windows open constantly.
