Recently at Cook we have instituted the practice of exclusively passive
monitoring every worker in and out processing. My question is, what does your
plant do to validate the effectiveness of your passive monitoring program? Do
you perform random whole body counts? If so, with what frequency?
Quick benchmark question:
When donning special dosimetry (multipack/extremity) or when repositioning
normally issued whole body dosimetry, does your site require a documented peer
check of the location of the dosimetry by an RP technician? If so, is this in
a procedure and how does your site
At D.C. Cook:
1. We use the standard clip for our DMC-3000s and we have not had an
issue with them breaking.
2. We require the SRDs to be double clipped in FME areas, but otherwise
we rely on the DMC's clips.
