http://english.wafa.ps/?action=detail&id=12697 Christian Berger Inaugurates Europe Day Fair in Ramallah Date : 9/5/2009 Time : 16:00 RAMALLAH, May 9, 2009 (WAFA)-European Commission Representative in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, Christian Berger, inaugurated, today, Europe Day Fair, celebrating the European-Palestinian Friendship in Ramallah First Group compound in Ramallah. Berger told WAFA that this fair shows what Palestinians and Europeans do together; explaining that the EU has handed over bulldozers to the Palestinians to remove solid waste, as well as 38 police cars. In addition, Berger said, the EU is helping the Palestinian economy to improve the quality of Palestinian productions, and to give them access to European markets. He added that the fair has two messages: first, to celebrate the idea of peace and solidarity between the Europeans and Palestinians, especially with regards to the memories of horror and destruction inherited after the Second World War, and the second, is the continuation of many projects aimed at developing the Palestinian economy.
