Health, Labor and Welfare Minister Yoichi Masuzoe said Saturday a domestic
outbreak of the new strain of influenza is a ''matter of time'' and stressed
the need to remain on guard after the first cases of new-flu infections were
confirmed in Japan.
''We are only buying time with quarantine inspections,'' he said at a
press meeting held at his ministry, urging people to take preventive measures
such as wearing masks and washing hands.
