Iran, Turkey review expansion of agricultural cooperation Second strategic conference on expansion of cooperation in the fields of agriculture and animal husbandry between Iran and Turkey at ministerial level was held in Ankara on Tuesday. At the meeting, the two sides reviewed promotion of mutual cooperation and ways of removing existing barriers. Iran's Minister of Agriculture Jihad Mohammad Reza Eskandari headed Iranian delegation to the meeting while the Turkish delegation was led by Turkish Minister of Agriculture and Rural Affairs Mehmet Medi Eker. A preliminary meeting at expert level kicked off two days ago in Ankara. It is expected that various memoranda of understanding (MoUs) on mutual cooperation would be signed in the meeting. Iran and Turkey have enjoyed very close and cordial ties in various economic areas but there is suitable opportunity to increase the volume of trade exchange in agricultural sector, Eskandari said.
