Dear Members, Supporters and Ex-Staff!
Kandersteg International Scout Centre is looking for a new Caterer.
In the first recruitment round we were not able to find a suitable candidate
for this interesting position. We would therefore like to call upon you all to
assist the Centre in finding new candidates for this vacancy. Please spread
this email as much as possible among your familiy members, friends and members
of your Scout group or district. Maybe you can ask your National Scout
Organisation to publish this vacancy on the website or add it into an
electronic mailing to the membership of the NSO.

CATERER
Location: Kandersteg, Switzerland
Duration: 12 months - longer contract can be discussed
Start Date: September 20th, 2010 - or later when required

Do you enjoy cooking? Are you ready to feed over 300 hungry Scouts and Guides
for dinner? Can you create healthy, balanced menus and take pride in serving
good food? Can you ensure all the food is served on time and that the kitchen
is clean, tidy and safe? Do you like to work with lots of people, in a fun,
challenging environment? If so, and you are an experienced or eager cook, why
not take the challange of feeding 12,000 Scouts in the next year!
The Caterer works closely with the Catering Supervisor (who holds the catering
license and works one day a week) in the areas of administration, ordering,
menu planning and hygiene policy. The Caterer is responsible for three Catering
Assistant (one on a 9 or 12 month contract and two during summer on 4 months
contracts) and manages the Short Term Staff assigned to Catering. The position
requires organisational, planning and cooking skills, strong customer service
and an attention to detail. For this job, it is desirable, but not necessary,
to have previous experience as a member of Short Term Staff.

European Scout Conference 2010
The European Scout Conference will take place from July 17th - 21st, 2010 in
Brussels.
KISC will be represented at the Conference with an exhibition and info stand
and will organise the traditional KISC reception on Tuesday 20th July at 18.00
in the bar of the Conference Hotel.
If you are attending the Conference we are looking forward to meet you at both
the reception and the stand!
