Hi all
One of my clients wants to be able to show a pdf document but disable
Save/Email/Print/Copy.
I've embedded the activex into a fox form but there doesn't seem to be
any way to hide the autohide menu in the view (called a heads up display
or HUD)

Gary,
Output would be related to WRITING data; INPUT would be related to
READING data. I don't see how that's counter-intuitive? Obviously I'm
not understanding or missing the point. ???
Thanks,

Not a WYSIWYG (which doesn't work for me) but a very nice HTML editor.
Thank you for the suggestion!

Whatever you get has to compile your css and jscript files as well because
it all meshes together when it renders.
Just saying this is a complicated environment.

These options should be set when publishing the PDF.
And you also need a PDF reader that respects those settings. :)

Thanks but not clear how to use this.
I've opened object browser for Adobe reader, the interfaces show
IAcroAXDocShim and _IAcroAXDocShimEvents.
Dragging either of these to a prg does show all the methods but
attempting to run says it can't find AcroPDFLib.AcroPDF
Not sure what installs this as
Take a look at CoffeeCup Software. They have a free version of their editor and
while not true wysiwyg, it works very well and allows you to preview what you
are working on.

Just checking, but the client understands that no matter what you do,
people could still take a screenshot of it, right?

Is the client generating these PDFs themselves? If so, they should be
putting the restrictions directly into the PDF document, not hoping that
the readers can be restricted later on.

I've been a big fan of the PDF Toolkit,
Coffeecup's Visual Site Designer is wysiwyg:

Coffeecup has many other tools that can be coupled with it.

I bit the bullet and I'm now in the process of xferring my work to my new
8.1 laptop. Things are ok (not great), but Chrome isn't playing well. It
grabs the entire screen and then only draws the upper left hand corner of
what I'd expect to see ... but even that is pretty much doa.
Any ideas?
