Another plug for Elegant Themes and a reminder similar to Ted that there's a
lot of admin work to keep a "free" WordPress site updated and secure. After
several years of being a half-assed (or worse) WordPress "expert", I went the
hosted route and have used Squarespace, Strikingly, and Tilda.cc
I’ve used Elegant Themes before. Pretty good products. Good support.
I also use ThemeForest to find good WordPress themes and I’ve had good success
there. Just stick to those themes with higher sales counts.

Elegant Themes do an addin for Wordpress called DIVI and I have used it a lot.
It allows fully responsive sites that look very professional and it is just
simple to use with loads of tutorials etc. Most impressive with a thriving
active responsive user group.
Not free but very cheap.
