VFP uses out of date .fxp file

I'm using VFP 9.0 SP1. For some reason, VFP has stopped using the latest version of a prg after I edit it. I have to manually erase the old .fxp file first to get the new version to run. Can anyone explain why this has happened and what I might do to restore the original behavior? Thanks ---
