Why cant you set you SMTP server to work using IP address or something. It
should work anyway if its set up. Not that exchange can be called easy to
set up or even getting working for that matter :) Allen

Consider using Blat and using a hosted SMTP mail service like
Fastmail.fm (or similar hosted email service). Very low cost, low risk
way to get a quality SMTP service.

I know this about AspEmail but didn't want to spend the $900+ for the
enterprise license for the 25 scouts.
I was looking for a 'nice free solution' to the issue when our POP3
server (currently in Arizona) goes away on 1 Sep.

If you changed from outer Mail Server to your own MS Exchange server, you
shoul still be able to send e-mails throuh Persits AspeMail, you only have
to change your SMPT address on your code pointing to your actual server and
also you should give a user name and password to ASPEMail control, this

See my previous post about vfpexmapi.fll (SweetPotatoeSoftware.com). It
works with Exchange on a Windows 2003 server with no user intervention.
Send a note to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and I will send the code
I use.
