Location: Lincolnshire, IL
Length: 6 months

We are seeking a Hadoop Cluster Administrator
This position is responsible for provisioning, managing and monitoring Hadoop
commodity system.
Job Responsibilities
* Install, configure, upgrade, fix and backup Hadoop commodity system.
* Monitor the Cluster and perform routine maintenance
* Provision and manage the Cluster
* Perform cluster administration and operation support
Qualifications:
* 2-year experience in implementing and administrating one of Hadoop
distribution
systems: Cloudera, MapR, Hortonworks.
* Experience in Hadoop related projects at Apache such as Ambari, Zookeeper,
Avro, Hive, Yarn.
* Experience with Linux operating systems
* Experience with scripting language such as Perl, Python, Java
* Experience with troubleshooting potential configuration problems.
* Experience with ITIL process
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Strong collaboration skills, responsive to service needs and operational
demands
