Project Description
The primary job responsibility is to design, develop, implement, and support
ETL processes used within custom and packaged applications responsible for
loading data into the data warehouse.
This position is responsible for assisting in the ongoing development of
technical
best practices for data movement, data quality, data cleansing and other ETL
related activities.
Job Title
. Design and develop or modify ETL processes that load data for
the data warehouse using ETL tools and PL/SQL
. Maintain existing ETL PL/SQL procedures, packages, and unix
scripts.
. Provide ETL performance tuning.
. Translate business needs into technical and system design
specifications.
. Design data warehouse schema and star schema data models using
Kimball methodology.
. Design and develop reporting end user layers (Business Objects
Universes) and Business Objects reports.
. Prepare and maintain system documentation.
. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
. Provide guidance to the IT community on best practices and
internal standards.
. Assist with the creation of reusable components as they relate
to the ETL framework..
Technical Experience/Skills Required
8+ years' experience with ETL in a Data Warehouse environment.
5+ years Oracle PL/SQL.
5+ years of experience developing UNIX scripts.
Experience evaluating existing data warehouse implementation, architectures
and processes.
Experience working directly with business analysts or sponsors defining
business requirements.
Experience in Data Warehouse integration methodology.
Experience participating in data warehouse data model design and implementation.
Experience in Star Schema Data modeling.
BI tool experience (SAP Business Objects preferred).

. Excellent written and oral communications skills
. Exceptional ability and initiative to learn and research new concepts, ideas,
and technologies quickly
. Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

Technical Experience/Skills Preferred
Experience with ETL tools such as Oracle ODI, Informatica, and Talend is
highly desired.
