*THE ABC OF MARK'S GOSPEL***

*Edited by Hugh Fogelman*

* *

* *

*The Abingdon Bible Commentary* *1* (pg. 1020-21), explaining *Chapter 16 of
* *Mark* says; *"The Resurrection (1-8) in Mark's Gospel broke off suddenly
at v.8 or it may be that the original ending became lost. At a later period,
efforts were made to complete or restore it."*

"The Appearances (9-18): "See the parallels in Matthew 28:16-20, Luke
24:1-12, and John 20:11 -21:23. *This is the 'longer ending' of Mark**. It
is absent from the Old Syriac and the** **Old Latin MSS, as well as from the
two great codices, the Sinaiticus and Vaticanus.** **This longer ending is a
mosaic made up of materials drawn chiefly from Luke's Gospel and
non-canonical sources."*

"The codex Washington adds after verse 14 in Mark's Gospel, a crude
paragraph―which has been taken from some early second century Christians
writing. In some extant* *MSS. of the Gospel of Mark, another shorter ending
has been added as well."

Hugh's comments: Apparently, not only can you not compare one gospel to the
other, but within each gospel you need to worry which interpretation you
will be reading. In other words, put 10 scholars, no, better yet, put 10
bible intoxicated Christians in a room and let them read all different
versions of their bible―their New Testament―each one thinking they are
correct. This would really make for some really good entertainment.

One last point – *The Abingdon Bible Commentary* (pg. 953) agrees with
Christian scholars that Mark was the first gospel as it says; *"One of the
assured results of devout criticism is that almost the whole of Mark is
incorporated in 'Matthew.'* *This conclusion can be verified by any student
who cares to examine in a synopsis a parable or incident which is found in
both Matthew and Mark. This discovery indicates that the author was not one
of the twelve, for one who had been an eyewitness himself would not report
to the work of a secondary witness."*

The incorporation of the material by the compiler of Matthew has not been
done in a slavish, mechanical way, but in a manner which reveals distinctly
the compiler's own individual prepossessions and ideas; he does not hesitate
to change, omit, tone down, and otherwise adapt the material in his sources
for his purpose, showing clearly that he did not consider that Mark's
account was complete.

FOOTNOTE:

*The Abingdon Bible Commentary* is used for practical and evangelical
purposes, [ copyright in 1929 by the Abingdon Press, Inc.] says that it
"reaches out to the 'thoughtful pastors, intelligent laymen, and teachers in
Sunday and Week-Day schools of religious education.'"

Brief CV of Jusfiq Hadjar

Jusfiq Hadjar, a christian, 66 years old, is an Indonesian living in the
Netherlands. He currently lives together out of wed-lock with Marlene Van
Doorn - a documentalist in African Studies Center (ASC) library - in Leiden.

Jusfiq Hadjar has, thus far, succesfully deceived many NGOs into believing
that he is a human rights activistist. One of the NGOs that has been trapped
in his lies is a Muslim human rights group, the Movement against Racism and
for Friendship among Peoples.

Jusfiq Hadjar is very active in his campaigns against Islam and Muslims on
the Internet, especially in several Indonesian mailing lists. He will spread
massive amounts of offensive, slanderous, lying statements against Islam and
Muslims day in and day out and at the same time claiming that he is a
Muslim.

Undoubtedly, Jusfiq Hadjar is one of those people who still thinks that
adhering to a daily routine of cursing and swearing on the Internet would
help to make him look intelligent and preserve his sanity. It shoots no
wonder then if you find mosts of his writings on the Internet are just about
cursing and swearing at Muslims and licking the ass of his christian
friends.

Jusfiq Hadjar has joined several mailing lists in order to spread his severe
hatred against Islam and Muslim on the Internet:

Marlene Van Doorn is very supportive of his life partner's evil activities
on the Internet, and gives her financial support by providing him with
meals, accomodation and Internet connection. He is also allegedly financed
by Leiden church.

He has no children.
