Sepintas, kata-katanya yang mengakui Paus Benediktus XVI DIPROTES keras lantaran (katanya) mengritik Islam, mau menggambarkan posisi geboy yang fair menyikapi "kritik" umat Islam terhadap Paus. Padahal, kalau dia berakal mustinya bertanya-tanya, kok Paus cuma diprotes keras oleh umat Islam? Kenapa bukan pecah perang salib? Atau muncul huru-hara macam kasus film & kartun Muhammad? "When Mohammed was still powerless and under threat," demikian kata Paus. Show me just what Muhammad brought blabla..."). Dalam ceramah itu Paus menyebut pernyataan si Manuel II (tolong dibedakan dengan pelem emmanuelle-2, sylvia kristel) sebagai "a brusqueness that we find unacceptable, on the central question about the relationship between religion and violence in general."
