Subject: [PEDA] standard lib.
I have a few components that I have imported into Protel for that
standard
lib. If anyone would be interested
I had to try panelizing a PCB the other day, as I had to connect all the
power and GND lines upto a main connector on the panel, so that the
boards could be assembled on the panel, powered up and tested, as well
as burn-ins B4 breaking the individual circuits from the panel.
I tried to do it
Thinking that Protel 99SE could import autocad DWG files, I tried to drag
and drop a DWG onto a fresh DDB recently created and empty.
Well... as I type this, Protel is locked up, and the Win2K task manager says
Client99SE is using 0% CPU time. I wonder what it's doing???

While I'm following this thread I'm playing with some new thoughts I caught
for panelizing a PCB within Protel. Anyway it is really hard work and much
easier to let the PCB house do it for you.
However, what do you folks think about an input to Protel for the
requirements for a panelizing server
Me too thanks.

Tony,
Crate empty PCB doucumenc then do import. Drag-and-Drop method works only
for OLE object. DWG fnd DXF don't support OLE so you must just import tem.

So I have gone some further.
